Dreamlifter Visits Huntsville International

Huntsville International Airport is temporarily playing host to (2) of the (4) Boeing Dreamlifters. The Boeing Dreamlifter is a modified 747-400 passenger airplane that can haul more cargo by volume than any other airplane in the world. It is the primary means of transporting major assemblies of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner from suppliers around the world to the 787 final assembly site in Everett, Wash. View the entire article.

Industrial Access Road Opens in Jetplex Industrial Park

Motorists maneuvering in and around the Jetplex Industrial Park as well as passengers utilizing Huntsville International Airport now have an easier time navigating traffic. An Industrial Access Road, which began construction more than two years ago, has opened. In an effort to replace temporary access to the new Navistar Big Bore facility on I-565 immediately east of the airport interchange, as well as, help enhance traffic flow at the interchange of James Record Road and Glenn Hearn Boulevard, the Airport Authority initiated the $6.2 million Industrial Access Road project in 2009.
