New Second Level Mezzanine and Pedestrian Bridge Now Open

Passengers have a brand new view as they make their way through the airport and down to baggage claim.

Wednesday, July 11, Huntsville International Airport (HSV) opened its second floor mezzanine with new escalators and a glass elevator leading into the renovated baggage claim area.

Improved Wi-Fi Available at HSV

The Information Technology system in Huntsville International Airport (HSV) has been expanded to provide free Wi-Fi in more places. This means expanded free Wi-Fi access for all customers visiting the airport.

HSV Makes Free 30-Minute Parking Permanent

Huntsville International Airport (HSV) began providing free 30-minute parking to make passenger drop-off and pick-up more convenient during construction. It has been such a popular feature that HSV will continue this service for its customers in all of its parking lots.

Effective July 1, after the first 30 minutes parking will be $2 an hour up to the maximum daily rate. Daily rates are:

  • Hourly parking - $24 a day
  • Deck parking - $10 a day
  • Surface parking - $8 a day

HSV strives to provide affordable and convenient options for all of its customers to remain competitive with other airports in the region. Passengers can compare parking rates among neighboring airports here.

 


 

Work Continues on the West Runway

Construction crews have been busy on the Group VI runway improvements to expand and enhance Huntsville International Airport’s (HSV) west runway. Work is being conducted to provide the runway infrastructure needed for Panalpina's 747-8 aircraft that regularly land at HSV.
