HSV Celebrates Opening of New Baggage Claim Area

Huntsville International Airport (HSV) recently celebrated the opening of its latest capital improvement project. HSV’s new baggage claim area marks the completion of a five-year, multi-phased, $92 million capital improvement and expansion project. An estimated 600 people attended the grand opening event.

The Port of Huntsville is 45 Years Old – Special Mural Revealed During Event

The Port of Huntsville also celebrated its 45th anniversary during its recent baggage claim grand opening. One of the night’s features included an original art design depicting the evolution of the Port of Huntsville over the past 45 years.

Dr. Carl Gessler

With the new year, the Port of Huntsville board members take new offices with Carl J. Gessler, Jr., MD serving as chairman as of Jan. 1, 2013. Additional board members and titles are: Mark McDaniel (vice chairman), William H. Johnston, Jr. (secretary/treasurer), BG (Ret.) Dallas Fanning (vice secretary) and Betty D. Fletcher.
