What Are You Building on Glenn Hearn Boulevard?

Picking up a passenger when they arrive at HSV is about to get a lot easier! We are building a Cell Phone Waiting Lot to alleviate congestion in front of the Airport Terminal. Right now, there are orange cones siphoning traffic into one lane as you drive in-bound to the Airport. You’ll see some big machinery just to the right of the road and a large paved parking lot as you are looking toward Sunset Landing Golf Course. The new Cell Phone Waiting Lot is going to be open in mid-December, and it’s free to use.
Here’s how it works:
- When your arriving passenger’s flight is getting close to landing, park your car in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot.
- Ask the passenger you are picking up to call or text you once they have received their bags at baggage claim and are ready to be picked up from the Terminal.
- Pull out of the Waiting Lot and up to the Terminal front, pick up your person, and go!
